Gary Heffern's new release, Painful Days is an album of losses set into a framework of intensly countrified balladry. Previously available in Europe only, Painful Days has received worldwide accolades from the music press and featured special guests Peter Buck, Victoria Williams, Marc Olson (Jayhawks), The Walkabouts, Scott McCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows) and the singer of Seattle's biggest band (hint, hint).
